This class is an introduction to the birth chart as a tool for self-understanding. you will learn the richness of this psycho-spiritual personality assessment tool for understanding your unique drives and motivations, and how to become the best "you" possible.
As best explained by Howard Sasportas (The Twelve Houses, p.107), "like the seed of a plant or a tree, {the birthchart} contains a blueprint of what the fully developed person could grow into or become... the birth map can be understood as a set of instructions showing how a person can most naturally actualize his or her potential."
*learn about some of your strengths so you can shine in your work or daily life, as well as for helping you create a more authentic calling
*learn about how to get some of your unique needs met in your relationships with significant others, children, family and friends.
* learn about the things in your personality that sometimes have you feeling "stuck", and learn about how to extricate yourself from them.
*learn about the times in your life when there might be roadblock in the way, and what they may be teaching you (age 28-31, the midlife transition from age 37-44, and others), as well as the cycles for growth in your life.

ITINERARY
For 7 days 6 nights in the Sacred Valley , Machu Picchu and Cusco
July 1- 7, 2010
July 1 - pick up from the Cusco airport to Pisac for check in, rest and to acclimate to the altitude. After lunch enjoy the colorful local market. Orientation and yoga that evening at Paz y Luz retreat center in Pisac.
July 2 - (Yoga in the morning). Diane Dunn, creator of the Peace & Light Center (Paz y Luz) is a healer, teacher and author of “ CUSCO : The Gateway to Inner Wisdom”. She will lead us in exercises with the four elements: earth, water, air and fire – to release, cleanse, transform and purify our personal energy. We will learn to connect with the forces of nature to awaken our inner wisdom and amplify our consciousness. Sleep at Paz y Luz in Pisac.
July 3 - (Yoga in the morning). Beautiful drive through the Sacred Valley to the Inka temples at Ollantaytambo. Take an afternoon train to Aguas Calientes. Later you can soak in the healing hot springs of Aguas Calientes, relaxing and processing with Cindy. [dinner not included] Sleep in Aguas Calientes.
July 4 - Your Peruvian tour guide will accompany you to Machu Picchu site where you will explore this famous lost city of the Inkas. Later you can climb Huayna Picchu and wander freely on your own before taking the afternoon train and returning to Pisac. (bring your own snacks up for “lunch”) Spend the night at Paz y Luz.
July 5 - (Yoga in the morning). Yoga intensive in the morning and hike in the Pisac ruins after lunch. Sharing circle that evening to process your experiences. Sleep at Paz y Luz.
July 6 (Yoga in the morning). Explore the ancient temples above Cusco : Q'enko, & Temple of the Moon and Sacsaywaman. After lunch in Cusco there will be time on your own to wander around the city, visit churches and museums if you'd like, shop for crafts, etc. After dinner on your own (not included) for those who wish to forego a good night's sleep, disco dancing is an option! Sleep in Cusco .
July 7 - Taxi to airport to fly to Lima
COST PER PERSON:
$1500 (6 or more people, double occupancy)
$1750 (single occupancy)
$500 deposit due by March 1st
Full payment by June 1st
This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner (except where noted), hotels, local transportation, entry to all sights, train to Machu Picchu and guide services. It does not include airfare, drinks, or tips.
