Class Descriptions

Intro To Yoga: This class takes the intimidation out of starting your practice if you are brand new to yoga. In the 2 hours, you will receive a brief introduction to the meaning & philosophy of yoga as well as in depth guidance to breathing and proper body alignment of the basic poses. After completing this intro, you will have the confidence to come into our regular classes and experience the joy that is yoga. This class is offered periodically so check the schedule for the dates. Please contact us ahead of time if you plan on attending this class.

Basics: A class designed for all levels (good for new students) which focuses on proper body alignment, basic breathing techniques, and other yogic principles that establish a good foundation for the rest of the classes.

Flow Basics: Appropriate for all levels (good for new students).. Involves soft flowing movements that link asanas (postures) with the breath, creating a fluid dance in which your breath is the music. Release and find the harmony within.

All Levels: This class is a little more advanced than the Basics, as it incorporates more vinyasa (moving from one pose to the next in a continuous flow); therefore it is recommended that you have a good introduction to the basics before attending.

Intermediate: Good for more advanced students. Incorporates both vinyasa and held asanas. The vinyasa sequences build heat, vitality and stamina while the held asanas create strength, flexibility and endurance. Feel renewed from the inside out.

Prenatal: For the expecting mother, each class combines gentle yoga poses along with breath work to build strength, flexibility, energy and stamina. The movements are specific for relieving discomforts caused by your changing body and great for developing concentration that can help during delivery. Let this class be a tool for experiencing a radiant pregnancy.

Zen Meditation: The Zen Training Program will provide both the beginner and advanced student with valuable experience in the various Zen practices: sitting, walking, chanting and bowing meditations. We offer a six week training program so check the schedule for dates.

Lunch Yoga : This 45 minute yoga practice is great for lunch break or if you just want a shorter practice to fit in your day. The class is designed for all levels with a combination of vinyasa and held poses to leave you feeling geared up, centered and refreshed for the rest of your day.
